Alvin Malnik was born on May 23, 1933, in St. Louis, Missouri. He attended Clark Elementary School and Solden High School, graduating in 1950. After that, he attended the University of Washington and graduated in 1954 with a Bachelor of Arts degree.

From 1954 to 1956, he served under the U.S. Armed Forces as a guided missile officer assigned to the Hold Commander.

He attended the University Of Miami School Of Law from 1956 to 1959, earning an LLB and JD with honors. He is a member of the Florida Bar, on favorable terms, starting around 1959. After that, he worked as a lawyer for about ten years. Since then, he has often worked within the finance and real estate improvement industries. He has by no means claimed financial ruin or obtained a terrible judgment.

He will be honored by the Founders Society of the University of Miami. a founding member of the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of Miami; Founding father of Mount Sinai Medical Center, and the most influential figure who received the inaugural Nancy Storm Make a Wish Award and was named a “lifetime” benefactor of the Make-A-Wish Foundation. In addition, the Al and Nancy Malnik Family AML Research Fund are supported solely by him and honored by the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. He also received the 2007 Outstanding Citizen Award from the Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce and is the principal benefactor of the J. Weiss Research Center at the University Of Miami School Of Medicine.

Mr. Malnik opened the world-famous “The Forge Restaurant”, the second oldest dining establishment in South Florida after Joe’s Stone Crab Restaurant forty-seven years ago. In addition to the aforementioned real estate and financial businesses, Mr. Malnik also owns and operates In addition to winning the International Grandmaster Wine Award and being named the best place to dine in the United States by Wine Spectator magazine, The Forge has been nominated for a few awards. Sharif Malnik, Mr. Malnik’s son, is currently in charge, and under his direction, The Forge has greatly improved its ongoing success and prominence.

Alvin Malnik has completed some of the projects based in South Florida, including Sky Lake Country Club, California Club Residences, Brand Smart Building, Cricket Club Apartment Buildings, and several shopping centers.
